Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, ABFAB is a dynamic duo known for their high-energy performances, original music and impressive musical versatility. The band is composed of the powerhouse vocalist Lisa “Mynx” Hugo and the sensational drummer Sean “Styx” Nunan.
With nearly 13 years together and over 2600 gigs under their belt, ABFAB is a full-time, dedicated act, averaging an incredible 3-5 performances per week. Their unwavering commitment to their craft is encapsulated by their motto:

“Wake Up” is a hard-hitting rock anthem about becoming acutely aware of your surroundings, stepping up, and truly living in the moment because, as the lyrics proclaim, you only get one life – so live it!
The song, originally penned by Lisa, draws inspiration from life’s tough knocks. It has been meticulously edited and arranged into its final form through a collaborative effort between Lisa, Sean, and their good friend, the renowned Dutch producer Brad Grobler (also known for his work with Sean in the band Shout!).
This Release marks a significant milestone for ABFAB Duo, a hard-hitting and compelling blend of raw energy and insightful lyricism.
